Lakeview Terrace – a Life Care Community, is enhancing and advancing the art of Life Care. Our gated campus occupies 100 serene acres on the edge of the Ocala National Forest. Featuring two lakes with fishing docks, walking paths, a natural area for picnicking and a Rehab Center and Exercise Pool Complex. As a team member with Lakeview Terrace, you will provide services to our residents that call LVT home.


  • High School Diploma required.
  • Associates Degree in Human Resources, Social Services or Business preferred.
  • One year experience, preferable in a healthcare setting, in Human Resources assignments such as recruitment, background screening, orientation, benefits, FMLA administration or employee relations required.
  • For purposes of effective communications with residents, families and staff must be able to see, hear, speak, read and write English.
  • Maintain ability to stretch, push, pull, kneel, reach, twist, lift unassisted at least 25lbs and walk or stand up to eight hours.
  • Must be a minimum of 21 years old, hold a valid Florida driver’s license and maintain a safe driving record.

Job Duties:

  • Coordinates the recruitment, screening and referral of competent personnel as necessary or directed. Communicates with all departments regarding the need for personnel on a daily basis. Monitors the need to implement sign on bonus or referral bonus policies to assist in recruitment efforts. Collaborates with local management team and management group to implement changes as the market fluctuates. Receive requisition forms for tracking and advertising. Writes job advertisements and maintains job boards, on both externally and internally posted sites. Reviews applicant information, checks references, coordinates and communicates appointments for interview and pre-employment screening requirements. Communicates to Executive Director regarding turnover and open positions. Prepares and maintains the Job Control list to be submitted weekly to the Vice President of Human Resources and the Executive Director.
  • Assists managers with the creation of job descriptions for new roles and with revisions to job descriptions for existing roles. Coordinates all requests for new job descriptions and revisions of existing job descriptions through the DSI Senior HR Coordinator.
  • Processes new hire paperwork, Assigns employee numbers, issues badges, enrolls employees into time clock. Performs E-Verify eligibility and completes I-9s and P-14’s. Prepares and distributes 90 day evaluations. Maintains accurate personnel record storage, conducts routine audits to ensure all regulated documents are found within each file. Work together with supervisors and benefit administrator to ensure new full-time employees have the opportunity to enroll in the group insurance plan.
  • Provides employee relations support to the management team. Responds to employee concerns as appropriate or escalates the matter to the Vice President of Human Resources. Works together with the executive management team, and the Vice President of Human Resources to communicate the annual employee survey process and results.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of policies and procedures. Communicates policy changes or policy violations to department supervisors.
  • Supervise the HR Assistant, and provide support to the A/R Bookkeeper, A/P Bookkeeper, and Assistant Executive Director duties. Train and develop the HR Assistant to be a solid back up support for all these areas.
  • Establish and submit pertinent Worker’s Compensation data to the Safety Coordinator.
  • Organize and schedule all aspects of the new employee orientation program. Distributes policies, procedures, and guidelines to all new employees. Provides new employees with benefit guides and information regarding enrollment. Coordinates with the Vice President of Human Resources and the management group to facilitate the yearly open enrollment process for benefits, this shall include group insurance as well as the 401K retirement plan.
