Current license in the state of Florida. At least six months’ hospital or rehabilitation nursing experience preferred.
Ensure compliance with Federal, State and company
standards. |
Utilizes clinical nursing competency observing,
monitoring and providing care, treatment and services to residents. |
Facilitates interdepartmental communication and
problem solving by interfacing with all members of the healthcare team. |
Perform primary nursing duties for assigned
residents/shift to ensure daily, monthly, quarterly and annual nursing
summaries in accordance with residents’ Active Treatment Plan. |
Monitor physical health of resident, relaying
safety and health concerns to the Director of Nursing, physician, pharmacist
and other disciplines as needed. |
Implement administration of prescribed medications
and treatments in accordance with State and clinical nursing standards. |
Receive, transcribe, fax orders to pharmacy and
enter orders in the electronic health record. |
Documents timely, outcome based information,
facilitating interdisciplinary communication. |
Participate and attend facility meetings and
inservices to ensure resident health care needs are maintained. |
Demonstrates proper use of Safety Care procedures and
all competencies that are designed to manage aggression, self injury and/or
property destruction. |
Ensures residents’ rights and promotes optimal
quality of life standards. Reports any
incident of abuse in accordance with facility procedure and the Disabled
Persons Abuse Negligence Act. Adheres to policies
related to boundaries with individuals. Attends required abuse risk
management training. Reports suspicious and inappropriate behaviors. Adheres to procedures related to managing
high-risk activities and supervising individuals. |
Demonstrates understanding of, and complies
with, all policies related to safety. Performs work safely and without
injury to self or others. Identifies hazards or dangerous behaviors in
the environment and takes immediate action to avoid, mitigate or eliminate,
and report hazardous conditions or unsafe behaviors. Ensures the safety
of self, residents/consumers, co-workers, families, guardians and visitors at
all times. |
