Job Summary - As a cook, you will work closely with the Lead Cook to coordinate menus, plan breads and desserts, estimate the quantities of food supplies needed for menu items, and assist in re-ordering stock to meet menu needs. Preparation of meats, main dishes, vegetables, breads and desserts for all three meal periods is the main priority for this role. The cook position is also responsible for labeling and dating all left over food for storage, and maintains a clean working environment. The Cook may be required provide leadership and supervision in the absence of the Lead Cook. Must comply with all sanitary codes imposed by government agencies and have the knowledge of temperature guidelines and policies.
Either 2 years experience in a restaurant, hospital, healthcare facility or equivalent education certification
Obtain a professional Food Manager's Certification with the first 90 days of employment
Must be able to speak, hear, read, and write English for effective communications
Ability to lift, pull, push at least 35lbs, and ability to stand and walk for up to 8 hours per day
